Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1970 Jaguar XKE! Pushing into the late 50s and early 60s Jaguar was working on a new car with factory equipment that would bring about massive changes in the automotive industry. Such items like independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering, disc brakes and unitary construction and more really set this Jag apart. The E-Type in the UK or the XKE as it would become known in North America was unveiled in 1961 and would see 3 generations or series until 1974 and would be touted as one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Here we have a '70 model, next to last year of the 2nd Series. The navy-blue paint looks really nice as it should being repainted in 2017. The beige leather goes well with the exterior and is in great order. Powering this car stated to be the original 4.2L, rebuilt and bored to a 4.7L and backed by a smooth shifting 5-speed manual transmission. The car runs and drives out very well! Car received a frame off restoration and stated to have 400 miles on it since the rebuild. The current owner has had her for over 9 years. The current owner enclosed the front headlights, installed LED front and rear lights, lighted interior panels, and heated leather seats. Owner is including an additional set of original seats along with what comes in the car as you see it. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! Don't miss your opportunity to own one of the most iconic British cars ever made! Options on this Jag include: A/C, Power Steering, Leather Interior, Heated Seats, Manual Convertible Top, Seat Belts, Wire Wheels, and Radial Tires. This 1970 Jaguar XKE is offered by our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
