Vehicle description
This 1947 Indian Chief is a matching-numbers motorcycle that has undergone a comprehensive, show-detailed restoration. It is powered by a rebuilt 74ci V-Twin engine mated to a rebuilt 3-speed tank-shift transmission. The original frame and original girder fork were retained and powder-coated to achieve a durable, better-than-original finish. The restoration emphasized the use of original components wherever possible, with careful attention to detail throughout the process. Accessories include original spot lamps, crash bars and a luggage rack. This motorcycle was formerly part of the Petersen Museum Collection and has accumulated 1,531 miles since the completion of the restoration.
