Vehicle description
STK 4079 1950 Dodge Meadowbrook Sedan The Dodge Meadowbrook is a full-size sedan that represented Dodge's commitment to practical, affordable transportation in the post-World War II era. The Meadowbrook featured a conservative design with a prominent front grille and rounded fenders. Dodge produced over 200,000 Meadowbrooks in 1950 making it a popular choice among American families. Originally a California car, this '50 Meadowbrook 4-door has been the recipient of a partial restoration and is a rare example of this classic. The handsome exterior was refinished in Hunter Green and chrome is in good condition. Accents include a stunning hood ornament, classic '50's chrome grill and 15" factory wheels w/full Dodge covers that mount wide-white radials. Inside, the Meadowbrook prioritized functionality over luxury with a spacious cabin, simple dashboard layout and bench seating. The grey cloth upholstery, door cards and headliner are all in excellent condition and seat belts have been added. The stately wood dash holds a full set of working factory gauges and the original push-button AM radio (needs TLC). Other options include a heater and turn signals. Horsepower is provided by a 230ci flathead six-cylinder that was rated at 103hp. The big flathead runs beautifully and torque is transferred to a 3-speed semi-automatic "Fluid Drive" transmission and stock rear differential. The chassis is equipped with a solid front axle that utilizes Chrysler's torsion bar suspension paired with traditional leaf springs in the rear. The electrical system is 6-volt and brakes are 4-wheel drum. This Dodge Meadowbrook is a handsome, functional example of a classic early '50s sedan. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
