Vehicle description
1950 post war Willys-Overland Jeepster civilian design of military Jeep was produced after World War Two for 3 years only 1948-1950. 5,836 units was the total production. I purchased this in California 7 years ago and I was told by the previous owner that this car was purchased in California and has been here since new. He told me he was driving to church on Sunday for over 35 years, showed 24397 miles when I purchased it. The 1950 examples will always be the most collectible of the series, with 134.2 ci inline 4-Cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed standard manual transmission with overdrive. I have restored this beauty in the past few years. Please see below for the list of work performed. Overall engine rebuilt. Replaced comp reb, crankshaft, pistons, rings bar, timing gears, all seals, fan belt, fan, engine mount. Replaced rear drum brakes and pads, conversion to disk brakes in the front, new brake lines, new hand brake cable, new master cylinder, added brake pressure pump and reducer, new brake lines, replaced headlight switch, new exhaust system installed, chrome classic signal lights, classic side mirrors, new side windows, new battery and total under coating, and new radiator with over flow tank.
