1954 Porsche 356 Pre-A Coupe • VIN 52471 • Engine No. 804707 • Completed August 12, 1954 Highly coveted 'Bent-Window' 356 Pre-A Coupe with beehive rear tail lights that is finished in Ivory (5404) with Black upholstery. According to the factory Kardex, No. 52471 was delivered an Ivory with a Red interior, a U.S. example delivered by Hoffman Motors Corp in New York, New York. Optional equipment from the factory includes a speedometer in miles and sealed beam headlights. The paintwork is consistent throughout with patina, original exterior trim, and glass. The cabin has been well preserved and is equipped with a VDM steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, and a dual-scale St�rk oil temperature gauge. The wheels are 3.25" x 16" with Turbo trim rings mounted to Michelin tires. The undercarriage is solid and rust-free. Mechanically, it is powered by a Super-90 1600cc flat-four engine that produces 90 horsepower, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel drum braking system. European Collectibles removed the engine and replaced the clutch with a balanced flywheel and pressure plate. While the engine was out, it was tuned and adjusted on the engine stand. The braking system has been completely rebuilt with all new components, including new wheel cylinders, brake shoes, brake lines, and a master cylinder. Complete with a Porsche Kardex, Classic Technical Certificate, and a spare wheel. Pre-A Coupes are becoming increasingly rare and hard to find; this is a great driver that is ready to enjoy.
