October 1962   -   Mileage: 31.930 km  Paint: Mist Grey / Interior: Leather Red Engine: 6-cylinder petrol engine 3.8 ltr. - 165 KW (224PS)  / Transmission: Original 4-speed    This beautiful MK II 3.8 ltr. was delivered new in 1962 in this colour Mist Grey with interior in Red to Italy. Spent a very sheltered life there until it came to Belgium in 2001 before being imported to Germany in 2021. This MK II has matching numbers, matching colours and has never been restored. Always maintained with care, repainted in a few places, has 70% original paint. The complete interior including leather upholstery, wood and carpet is original! The vehicle floor was ice-blasted by us 2 years ago. The result was a completely rust-free underbody that had never been welded. A real sensation. Everything was then resealed. The original engine and gearbox were completely overhauled and perfectly adjusted. In addition, the cardan shaft was finely balanced last year. The throttle response, the power delivery of the engine and the driving behaviour at higher speeds are fantastic. A sensational original MK 2 and perfect looks with black semi-matt Competition spoke rims and AVON tyres with Coombs wheel rims for the wider rims and tyres. The MK II looks almost identical to the famous COOMBS MK II racing touring car from John Coombs with the licence plate BUY1. We have never seen an MK II with similar characteristics and it is certainly unobtainable. An irretrievable time capsule of the elegant and sporty kind. The gentleman racer par excellence.
