Vehicle description

Celebrating our 65 year anniversary! This family owned and operated business was established in 1960, making us the oldest classic car dealership in America. Special thank you to all our customers for entrusting us to park the car of your dreams in your driveway while preserving automotive history for future generations to embrace and enjoy. -Grams family & Volo Museum staff INTRODUCTION: Ground-up restored by a well known Mustang collector and restorer, this car was his personal cruiser- literally. I met him with the car at Cruisin' the Coast and he wouldn't sell it. It's optioned perfectly for relaxed cruising and built with reliability in mind. This Mustang is far more than just a pretty face; it's meant to be driven and enjoyed. EXTERIOR: It's a beautiful classic Mustang GT with options, glass, and red paint. Body is excellent; it's straight and fits right, has no rust or damage showing, repainted in signal flare red, and it is polished smooth and glossy. Just about every piece of external trim chrome has been replaced and sparkles. Convertible top has been restored, black power top, all new weather strips, windshield was replaced as the GT fog lamps in front and GT exhaust tips coming through the valance and back. It's riding on 15-in GT wheels with red center caps and radial tires as dual mirrors correct antenna. INTERIOR: Here's some nostalgia, a deluxe pony interior. This would include molded door panels with knife handle door openers, deluxe upholstery with running ponies and woodgrain trim. Just about everything has been replaced: dash bezels, dash pad, deluxe steering wheel, carpet pony floor mats etc. Right in front of the console is the a/c unit that will drop ice cubes in your lap! ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This freshly restored and detailed engine bay has everything you want: a V8, power steering, power brakes and air conditioning! The 289 was completely rebuilt and runs smoothly. The power steering is upgraded with a Borgeson system and the power brake system is upgraded with a dual reservoir master cylinder. Everything's been replaced: horns, hoses, belts, wires etc. The metal surfaces are all smooth and nicely painted, it even has fresh bolts for a clean look. An aluminum radiator keeps the engine cool, the modern air conditioning system will keep you cool, not that you won't already be cool in this slick Stang! TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb have fresh red paint, inside is also painted red and has a complete liner and tire cover over the spare. It also has a reproduction decal and weatherstrip. UNDERSIDE: It's even restored mechanically and cosmetically underneath! All of the steering and suspension has been rebuilt or replaced. It has a new factory type GT dual exhaust with crossover pipe and the stainless tips going through the valance. It has an all new fuel system including the tank. The brakes have been redone, lines were replaced, upgraded to disc in front and the e-brake is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is fresh with fresh components. It has a rebuilt Cruis-o-matic transmission and a restored driveshaft that goes back to the rear end with cruising gears. The floors are all restored and painted in red oxide primer like the factory would have done. SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell. CONCLUSION: This is about as close as you will get to a new 1966 Mustang convertible. This beautiful car is meant to be driven with minimal maintenance. Enjoy! For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide is my professional opinion based on my experience with these vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership. 815 385 3644 9-5 central [email protected] Answered ASAP Air conditioning Power steering Power disc brakes GT exhaust Deluxe Pony interior Console Power top Gt Fog lamps GT wheels
