Vehicle description
This 1968 MG MGB GT has been a California car most of its life. The truly special part of this MGB is the period correct ‘65 date coded Ford 289 with MSD Ignition and a Holley 650 Double Pumper. The 289 is backed by a 5-speed T-5 manual transmission. The original knock off wire wheels wrapped in Vredestein Sprint Classic tires give this MG the right look but proper performance. The interior is in great shape with it being completely redone in the last 5 years or so including the seats, carpet and dash. Auto Meter gauges replace the original tach and speedometer. The Webasto sliding sunroof works well. The frame and underside has been kept rust free from this being kept in California most of its life. There has been extensive recent maintenance done on the MG to make it ready to drive. This includes new tires, water pump, fuel pump, front rotors, pads, lines, professionally rebuilt carb, various seals, and negative ground conversion.
