Vehicle description
This custom 1970 Dodge Challenger is a professionally built, show-quality Resto-Mod originally constructed by Pure Vision for the 2015 SEMA Show and known as the "Day 2 Challenger." Power comes from a replacement 472ci HEMI V8 engine bored from a 426, equipped with a polished serpentine drive system, Accel electronic ignition and TTI headers feeding a custom dual-outlet exhaust. The drivetrain consists of a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission paired with a Gear Vendors overdrive and a Strange S60 rear axle. Suspension and handling are upgraded with Hotchkis components, Fox shocks and Wilwood power-assisted disc brakes. Finished in Toxic Orange with a satin black Shaker hood and rear spoiler, it rides on 15-inch Cragar wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The exterior restoration was completed by Mick Jenkins, and the car was featured on the cover of Car Craft magazine. The interior features black vinyl bucket seats, faux-wood trim, air conditioning, a floor-mounted B&M shifter and an Alpine audio system with trunk-mounted amplifiers. 261 miles (title reads exempt).
