Unfortunately, I must sell all my project vehicles due to a recent divorce and desire to move from OR. This post is for my 1984 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer 4-door maroon hatchback/SUV. This Jeep has not been molested (much) by previous owners nor myself. What's very unique about this model is the "2.8L V6" engine! This is where I have concentrated most of my time and frankly, it and the 4x4 capability, are the reasons I purchased it in the first place! However, the V6 needed restoring of the stock vacuum and air flow systems after having the carburetor professionally rebuilt (by a specialist) in conjunction with a good healthy tuneup. It still needed a new catalytic converter and muffler to pass OR's DEQ. I have the matching cat & muffler for a dual exhaust conversion, (where I was headed next before the surprise divorce). I also had the radiator gone through at a specialty shop and then plumbed the transmission cooler properly. Additionally, I have gone through and the brakes, added 17' rims and tires, (a stock spare rim & tire too), new shocks all around, and replaced the faded (and/or cracked) head, turn, and parking light lenses. I have not done much to the interior other than adding good rubber mats, cup holders, and door safety reflectors. I did need to replace window crank handles and the hatchback shock absorbers. I was planning on adding various gauges, a decent stereo, getting the A/C functional (belt and freon needed), and perhaps replacing seat belts. My asking price is much less than what I have in this vehicle, so the price is firm. Come check it out and perhaps drive it away!
