Vehicle description
I am the 2nd owner of this car, and i purchased in May of 2022. The first owner bought the car for his wife as a celebration of her surviving cancer. He owned his own businesses and as a result no expense was spared on keeping this car running. Every time any little thing was "wrong" it got fixed at the dealer. In other words, this car is in excellent condition despite its age and mileage, because all the major wear components have been replaced by either the 1st owner or myself. The previous owner only drove this car 9000 miles since 2009. This is a drivers car, not a "buy it and park it" car. I have done any maintenance that has been needed to make it drive well and to ensure it wasn't going to leave me stranded. Some of the maintenance done under my watch: 1. Dash removed and all AC "pots" replaced. All vents work as they should and air blows cold 2. Leaking AC system repaired in two locations 3. New shocks front and back - Koni Special D “Red” Shocks 4. New radio head unit (VDO Continental TR7412UB-OR European Style 12 Radio Orange Display 5. Front 2 speakers replaced (Rockford Fosgate R14X2 Prime 4-inch Full Range Coaxial Speakers) 6. New hardtop carrier (URO Parts TC107BLACK Hard Top Cart) 7. New tie rods - Assembly with center piece and tie rod ends. 8. Heater Monovalve and Pump upgrade - Klima Heater Control Monovalve Conversion (CCP-107KLIMA). - 1981 to 1991 Monovalve Climate Control Electric Water Pump Upgrade (CCP-AUXPUMPCONVERT). 9. Steering stabilizer shock - Bilstein B4 Steering Damper 10. Refrigerant extracted and refilled due to aux fan sticking and causing overheating and venting refrigerant Done under Previous Owner (just a few key items - the list is endless) 4. May 2022 (previous owner) - Timing chain, rails, tensioner, gaskets - Engine Oil and filter - Expansion tank replaced - Spark plugs replaced 5. Feb 2022 - 2 shift linkage bushings (were missing! Car not going into gear) 6. August 2020 - A/C R134A fitting conversion kit - Added 1.5 lbs Freon 7. July 2019 (178,549) - New power steering box and alignment 8. April 2009 (175,719) - Left and Right Valve cover gaskets replaced - Auto trans service. Gasket, oil filter, sealing ring - Air intake hose replaced 9. May 2005 (170,974) - New radiator 10. June 2004 - Engine Mounts replaced As i hope you can see, you can buy this car with confidence that it will actually drive, and drive well. Most of the low mileage cars out there for double the price will require extensive work to replace bushings, shocks, fuel pumps etc to make the car actually usable. Mileage doesn't destroy components - time does. If you need any more pictures or have any questions, you know where to find me...
